RTC Series

RTC Series

Summit RTC Series employs a unique base fluid that provides optimum refrigerant solubility/miscibility. Other benefits of Summit RTC Series vs traditional POEs for refrigeration include:

• 50% less hygroscopic

• Less compressor component wear

• Less issues with copper plating

• Greater cooling efficiency

Recommended uses

Summit RTC Series lubricants are designed exclusively for semihermetic (piston) refrigeration compressors requiring a POE-type lubricant for improved miscibility with the refrigerant and improved oil return to the compressor. These compressors, with relatively small oil capacities in the 1-5 gallon range, are used in many supermarket applications and commercial (mobile) refrigerated trailer/truck applications. Summit RTC Series is available in five viscosity grades for HCFC & HFC refrigerant gases like MO99, R22, R134a, R401a, R401b, R402a, R402b, R404a, R407a, R407c, R408a, R409a, R410a, R422a/d, R502, & R507c.

Mixing Summit RTC Series with other POE-based formulations should be avoided. There is no need to flush when converting to Summit RTC Series from other POE-based formulations. Always consult Summit engineers before using this product in other refrigeration applications.

NSF ISO 21469

ISO 21469 specifies hygiene requirements for the formulation, manufacture, use and handling of lubricants, which may come into contact with products during manufacturing or processing. The international standard applies to lubricants intended for use in food production, as well as cosmetic, pharmaceutical and animal feed industries. NSF ISO 21469 Certification by an independent, third party provides Summit with a means to obtain international acceptance for their products.
