RHT FG- 68

Summit RHT FG-68 is a highly refined, hydrotreated ammonia refrigeration compressor lubricant, specially designed to function under the stringent requirements of closed-loop ammonia refrigeration systems in the food service industry. Besides providing value-added benefits in the areas of improved system efficiency and higher productivity, the performance advantages of Summit RHT FG-68 versus naphthenic oils include:

• NSF H1 Pending and meets USDA 1998 (H1) guidelines (lubricants with incidental food contact)
• Lower wax content versus the “essentially” or “virtually” wax free oils marketed by competitors
• Reduced oil carryover
• Superior cleanliness
• Superior chemical and thermal stability
• Enhanced wear protection
• Lower foaming tendency
• Extended oil drain interval capability
• Less oil make-up

Recommended uses

Summit RHT FG-68 is exceptionally well suited for rotary screw and reciprocating compressors in ammonia service. It is compatible with naphthenic and other hydrotreated paraffinic-based compressor oils for ammonia service, as well as PAO and alkylbenzene-based products. It is compatible with all seal elastomers commonly used in these systems including Buna-N, NBR and Neoprene.

NSF ISO 21469

ISO 21469 specifies hygiene requirements for the formulation, manufacture, use and handling of lubricants, which may come into contact with products during manufacturing or processing. The international standard applies to lubricants intended for use in food production, as well as cosmetic, pharmaceutical and animal feed industries. NSF ISO 21469 Certification by an independent, third party provides Summit with a means to obtain international acceptance for their products.

A product that is NSF H1 Registered is approved for use where there might be incidental food contact. The categorization of “lubricant for incidental food contact” represents the use of a lubricant which, as a consequence of general use of the machinery or equipment to which it is applied, may result in the contact of that substance with food. All of Summit’s Food Grade products are H1 Registered.
