Summit Certifications

  • Halal

    This product has been certified Halal (foods that are permissible according to Islamic law) under the supervision of Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America (IFNCA).

  • NSF H1

    A product that is NSF H1 Registered is approved for use where there might be incidental food contact. The categorization of “lubricant for incidental food contact” represents the use of a lubricant which, as a consequence of general use of the machinery or equipment to which it is applied, may result in the contact of that substance with food. All of Summit’s Food Grade products are H1 Registered. 

  • Kosher

    This product has been certified Kosher and conforms to all the requirements of Jewish law. 

  • CFIA

    This product has been tested and approved by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.

  • ISO 21469

    The ISO 21469 certification is the international standard for formulation, manufacture, use and handling of lubricants (incidental contact). You can see a list of Summit’s ISO 21469 certified products by clicking here.

  • ISO 9001

    Summit Industrial Products first received its ISO 9002 certification in January of 1996, demonstrating a commitment to quality assurance and performance monitoring. ISO 9000 certification is an international quality standard that addresses a comprehensive list of business elements, including management responsibility, order processing, purchasing, process control, traceability, handling of non-conforming product, and internal auditing. Our present ISO 9001:2008 certification is proof of our continuing quality commitment to our customers.

  • NSF ISO 21469

    ISO 21469 specifies hygiene requirements for the formulation, manufacture, use and handling of lubricants, which may come into contact with products during manufacturing or processing. The international standard applies to lubricants intended for use in food production, as well as cosmetic, pharmaceutical and animal feed industries. NSF ISO 21469 Certification by an independent, third party provides Summit with a means to obtain international acceptance for their products. 

  • OHSAS 18001:2007

    OHSAS 18001:2007, the standard for worker protection, is compatible with the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems, creating a seamless integration of product quality, protection of the environment, as well as the health and safety of the employees. OHSAS stands for Occupational, Health and Safety Standards. Summit received its OHSAS certification in December 2004.
